If your mornings are a rush and there’s no time to cook eggs and bacon, paleo “cereal is to the rescue! Of course, it isn’t cereal grains, which are forbidden on the paleo diet, this “cereal” is a mixture of nuts in milk. It’s pretty simple.
1-2 small hand full of a variety of nuts(almonds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnut, macadamia nut…)
A few pumpkin seeds
Some unsweetened coconut flakes
1-2 tablespoons of flax seed meal
Just mix everything together, and eat!
Now, this is if you eat this everyday, nothing fancy. If you want a special breakfast with an amazing taste, add all of some of these to the simple cereal:
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1-2 tablespoons honey
1/4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder(with honey, to get rid of bitterness)
Any fruit(banana, blueberry, strawberry, and apple are great, but anything is fine)
This should not be the only thing you eat. Breakfast is like every other meal, have vegetables, and meat (or eggs) if there is time. But once in a while when your late for school or work this is a great substitute for cereal full of grains and sugar.
